Unforgettable… a hidden gem
How lucky we were… a friendly chat (with the owner/general manager Frederik) during a informal business diner in Mombasa… a week later we ended up in the Msambweni Beach House and Private Villas. This exquisite haven was everything and much more than we talked about; a slice of heaven! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of the surroundings and the warm hospitality extended by the staff and Frederik.The location itself is a dream come true for beach and ocean lovers. With pristine white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters, it's a paradise on Earth. The beach house offers a sense of exclusivity, allowing you to immerse yourself in a tranquil and serene environment.The accommodations are nothing short of luxurious. The suites and private villas (we stayed at villa 3: truly exquisite) are thoughtfully designed, blending modern elegance with traditional African elements. Every detail has been carefully considered to provide comfort and relaxation, from plush furnishings to breathtaking ocean views.The culinary experience at Msambweni Beach House is a true highlight. The chef served a delightful array of dishes, showcasing the freshest local ingredients and flavors. Breakfast, lunch at the tranquil poolside or a candlelit dinner in our villa, everything was made possible. Each meal was a culinary journey that satisfied both our palate and soul.The service was exemplary, with a team of professional and dedicated staff who go above and beyond to ensure your every need is met. Their warm and genuine hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The activities and amenities provided by the resort cater to a wide range of interests, we only had time to try one: a exploratory boat ride through the mangroves ending with an unexpected sundowner drink on a remote sandbank; waaww, what an “out of this world” experience, thank you Frederik.In short: Msambweni Beach House is a hidden gem that offered us a truly unforgettable experience. beautifull place
I stayed at Msambweni Beach House for three nights in February with my wife and children. We had a great time. The place is beautiful, the view from our lodge was amazing. The hotel has a very peaceful and familiar atmosphere, the staff and owner were all extremely nice. We also loved the snorkelling and the dolphin trip. We only had some communication problems when booking the trip and the extras, but I am sure they will improve on that and it was all resolved very correctly. Kenyan paradise!
We visited mwasembeni beach house in December 2022 for a short family break and it was the best four days spent in paradise and total relaxation!  We stayed had the beach house and occupied all three rooms. The rooms are beautiful designed, with so much space and the Interior is stunning. They have kept to simple, yet very clean with the touch of colour at different places. Each room has huge balconies overlooking the beach and main pool. Feels like a world away from all the hustle and bustle.Chef Joseph cooked amazing fresh food everyday and made anything we requested and very tasty! The Swahili breakfast on one of the days was delicious. Terry made sure we were comfortable and always checked in on us which was great. All the staff have been very well trained, to mention a few names of staff who really looked after us were Lucy, Betty, Jacinta. The owner Frederick was very hospitable and we spent a good hour chatting and getting to know each other and how mwasembeni beach house came about. Although MBH is not totally child friendly, it's nice for a small family break and Marcus is a really good entertainer. my daughter loved building sand castles with him.Nye was a lovely beach set up and DJ which was was really fun! Beautiful Honeymoon Experience
No idea where to start with this one. I always had this place on my list, but I never got to go, for whatever reason. My husband and I decided to try it out for our first honeymoon, and we were NOT disappointed. From the smooth booking to the airport pick up, to the amazing welcome at the hotel, everything was top notch. We stayed in Villa One and It was everything! It was clean, comfortable and had the best views of the beach and ocean from its private pool. We especially appreciated the AMAZING hospitality and service from the entire staff, who truly showered us with kindness and delicious food. I am not sure if it was because it was our honeymoon alone, but I believe that their kindness and hospitality is always top notch. They give you the option to have meals at your Villa, which we did often. On Friday evenings they have fun activities such as Beach side appetizers and a live show. It was truly amazing. I know a lot of people would bring children to the establishment, but I personally think it is best for couples or mature couple friends planning to get away and bond. I have read many reviews on here complaining that the place is not child friendly or noise friendly and I feel as though there are a myriad of other locations that can accommodate that. After 2 weeks of Safari in Kenya & Tanzania our group of 7 friends spent 4 fabulous days at this lovely property. We had the ocean view suite, villa 2 and 3, as well as one master suite at the main house. We were all very happy with our accommodations (beautiful and very unique large rooms, tastefully decorated, the villas feature a large living room and / en-suite bedrooms, as well as a private pool). The chef prepared delicious meals for us, which were served at various locations: the main house, at the pool and the beach (a delicious barbecue). Mark and Frederik are the owners of this beautiful place and superb hosts. They made us feel like friends visiting instead of reels being guests. On the last morning they treated us to a boat trip, served us freshly cut coconut, fruit, samosas. The tripFinished with a dip into the crystal clear waters at a sandbank. Paradise on earth
You can describe our feelings about Msabweni Beach House in three words : Paradise on earth.We stayed three nights in this magical place in a private villa during our honeymoon. Breakfast on the terrace of the villa, lunch on the beach of the Indian Ocean, aperitif around the bonfire and dinner around the swimming pool. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and they just want that you have an unforgettable souvenir of this place. We have been enthusiasted by the owner Frederik  who constantly re-invests the profits in order to develop social projects in the surroundings of Msabweni. Secluded private paradise on the beach
We had a wonderful time at Msambweni House - both the main house and the Private villas (there are 3 of them) are stunning.  We especially loved the Private villa and the seclusion you get and all the private villas have their own swimming pools.  The views from the hotel are awesome, the beach was beautiful and it was really lovely having our meal set ups at different locations during the stay.  Loved the 'campfire' sundowners in the evenings and the food was superb.  The chefs really listened to what we wanted and ensured that we had great, yummy food. Wonderful holiday.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The staff were extremely friendly and did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Betty and Lucy made sure to check on us daily, not to forget all the waiters who always looked after us at meal times. Marcus the hotel animator, was superb! The hotel even got us a babysitter ( at an additional fee ) who was very caring. We will definitely be back.
